Two important terms related to water treatment at POU:
Water Purification - to remove specified contaminants from a water source.
Water Disinfection - specifically, a purification process that kills or removes biological contaminants (cysts, bacteria, viruses, protozoans, etc.) from a water source.
Water that has been disinfected (by UV treatment, boiling, chlorination, micro-filtration, etc.) may still be polluted with other contaminants that are not affected by the disinfection treatment.
In some cases, additional contaminants may actually be added to the water by the disinfection process. For instance, the process of chlorination nearly always adds some disinfection byproducts (trihalomethanes, like chloroform), and boiling water will concentrate inorganic contaminants.
Selecting and Using Water Treatment Devices
Many consumers have difficulty determining whether they actually need a water treatment system or they are not sure what type of system would be best for them. The choice regarding whether or not to install and use a water treatment system is if they have identified a specific contaminant whose presence in water supply, they can then ensure that they are selecting a water treatment system that will be capable of treating those specific contaminants.
The important thing is that all home water treatment devices need regular maintenance to operate effectively. As example filter cartridges should be changed on a regular basis as recommended by the manufacturer for home purification water treatment systems.
Things to Consider when Selecting a Purification Solution:
In order to determine which of the solutions is best we might want to consider the following:
- How much water is required per day for drinking and cooking?
- Which contaminants are actually in water?
- Which contaminants you are interested in removing?
- The cost of the solution you decide upon, both the initial and the ongoing costs?
Point-of-Use (POU) System
The following different POU water treatment systems which can be used as a complete water treatment system at POU in homes:
1- Filtration with Ultraviolet unit
2- Reverse Osmosis unit
All the unites are supported with a pretreatment and post treatment for assuring the product quality is the best pure drinking water
All Globe well water treatment systems was designed to be easy handling with a very simple maintenance program which can be done by anyone have the unit and commercially it is the best choice for getting a drinking safe water by very little amount of money, our customer can get more than 250 L/D with cost less than a small bottle of water.
Globe well water treatment system can remove more than 95% from the contaminant including the free chlorine, organics, chlorine by-products and Heavy metals as well as 99.9% from the bacteria and virus will be removed or killed
