Activated alumina

EFFECTIVE ARSENIC & FLUORIDE REMOVAL

Activated Alumina is a granulated form of aluminum oxide.  In this process, water containing the contaminant is passed through a Filter of activated alumina which adsorbs the contaminant. 

Activated Alumina is listed by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as a “best available technology” (BAT) for the removal of arsenic and fluoride. 

Granular Activated Alumina is an economical alternative alumina that is regenerable in both fluoride and arsenic applications.

Common applications using arsenic and fluoride within the production process include glass manufacturing, aluminum and steel processing, pesticide as well as fertilizer production and the semiconductor industry.
